The one constant in an ongoing Beyblade series is change. Beyblade X is no different.

Previously, we demonstrated this after revealing the top 5 best Beyblade X combos from releases BX-01 to BX-27. That list differed significantly from our initial list revealing the top 5 best Beyblade X combos from releases BX-01 to BX-12. Since the release of BX-27, a wide variety of new Beyblades have been released. Many of them have been adopted by players to win tournaments around the world.

While experience, mindset, shooting, part quality, and balance tuning all play an important role in determining who will win any given Beyblade battle, combo choice is arguably just as important. The combination of parts you choose sets you on a particular path. What you choose to wield for any given battle limits your options, so it is important that the choice you make is reliable, strong, and matches your intentions and strengths in that given moment.

When it comes to winning Beyblade tournaments, the combinations which players choose does tend to differ across the globe. Even from one region to another in the same country can have different preferences.

Knowing this, we decided to conduct a survey this time of five experienced Beyblade players and Beyblade tournament champions around the world in order to formulate this list of the top five best Beyblade X combos up to UX-13/BX-39. They include:

Players Surveyed

  1. Zane (Singapore) – B4 Beyblade X Asia Champion 2024
  2. Blader Kei (Japan) – B4 G1 Top 128, G2 Top 8, G3 Champion
  3. Kyoutaro/blackdranzer671 (United States) – 2025 Winter NorCal Beyblade League Champion
  4. Dan (Canada) – #8 Ranked Player, OBBC Beyblade X (B4 Rules 2024) Rankings
  5. Zero (Australia) – BBAN 2024 Champion
  6. rayxray (United Kingdom) – #2 Ranked Player, OPE Beyblade X Competitive Circuit UK

How the list of best Beyblade X combos was selected included the assumption that the Takara-Tomy Xtreme Stadium and Beyblade Battle Base (B4) tournament rules are the default environment. Each player provided their own list based on this core rule. We took into consideration the opinions of each player and created the finalized list by analyzing and collating each player’s top combos.

The top 5 best Beyblade X combos (Up to UX-13/BX-39)

Best Beyblade X combo #1: Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball

It would be easy to simply say it is the best stamina combo in Beyblade X, but it’s really so much more than that.

Why is WR 3-60B good?

Best overall combo. Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball is the quintessential example of what a “great Beyblade” is. Unmatched stamina, strong defensive prowess, versatility, ease of use for beginners, and depth of skill required to master it for top competitors have made the undeniable gold standard in Beyblade X to this point.

Not only can it outlast any opponent, it can effectively receive and dodge attacks with proper launch technique. Beyblade X may incentivize Burst Finish, Over Finish, and Xtreme Finish, but none of that matters if you can win by Spin Finish in spite of that. Beyblade is, after all, a game in which “spinning” is the default requirement to be in-play.

The Wizard Rod Blade itself was inducted into the B4 “Hall of Fame” and is no longer usable in 1on1 matches as of writing (it is still permitted in 3on3 matches). It was great and prevalent enough in 1on1 matches to cause this, but in 3on3 it can be argued to be even stronger due to its reliability and consistency.

The Hall of Fame induction of Wizard Rod speaks to the strength of this part, which is most commonly paired with 3-60B. Winners of official tournaments at the highest level, such as the 2024 Beyblade X Japan Champion Tatsuki, have used it to earn their titles.

It would be easy to simply say it is the best stamina combo in Beyblade X, but it’s really so much more than that.

Strengths
  1. Simple to pick up. This combination is so strong inherently that it can easily cover for many weaknesses a player may possess depending on the situation. As long as you can launch your Beyblade with even a decent amount of power, Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball is never a ‘bad’ choice even if you lack experience in combo building or more advanced launch techniques.
  2. Unrivalled matchup spread. The Wizard Rod Blade possesses not only unmatched stamina potential, but the centrifugal force generated by its wide and relatively flat design allows it to maintain and regain balance better than any other Blade available. This quality also enables it to effectively receive incoming attacks from above when launched on an angle into safe areas of the stadium. The 3-60 Ratchet and Ball Bit support its ability to maintain its stamina, posture, and avoid attacks. The result is a combination which can outlast any opponent for the win.
  3. Reduces “luck”. While we cannot read the minds of the designers behind the game design of Beyblade X, we can infer their intention through their output. To date, a persistent theme is the concept of imperfection. This often manifests itself through the intentionally unbalanced designs of Blades, leading to more unpredictable battle results. The Wizard Rod Blade, while unbalanced slightly, is correctable through balance-tuning. It is about as close as they have gone to making a “perfect” Blade. Top competitors will always be seeking ways to reduce the influence of “luck”. The luck element of Beyblade selection, of predicting launch trajectories, of avoiding self-KOing, and the luck inherent to positioning and attacking opponents. Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball is the best way to do this because of its versatility of use and fundamentally high performance design. In every facet, WR 3-60B is ultimately a Beyblade which allows players to get out of it what they put into it. For a game in which players are constantly fighting against unpredictability, you cannot ask for much more from a combination than what WR 3-60B provides.
Weaknesses
  1. High shooting skill is required. With some luck, it is possible to get away with shooting this combination without thought or technique. But when playing against smart competition, they will inevitably exploit this and you will be defeated. While WR 3-60B can outlast any opponent, in order to achieve more consistent success with it, it is vital to understand that the Xtreme Stadium’s design is inherently unfriendly to this aim. To overcome the considerable incentive players have to take advantage of this to score multi-point win conditions like Over Finish or Xtreme Finish, users of this combination need to take defensive measures. Such measures require understanding of three things. First, the trajectory your Beyblade will take when launched at certain angles and power levels. Second, the tendencies of your opponent’s launch strategy. And third, how to use the Xtreme Stadium’s design to your advantage to protect yourself. This means thinking about the areas which may be the ‘safest’ and which areas are the most ‘dangerous’ on a fundamental level as well as situationally depending on what your opponent is likely to do.
  2. It must be balance-tuned. Everybody knows that this combination is powerful. As such, if faced with a situation where you’re in a mirror match with an opponent where all else is equal, the winner will more often than not be the top which has been crafted with more care. The reason is because it will spin for longer and behave in a more controlled, predictable manner. Even against other opponents, the high performance enabled by balance-tuning can be critical. It is the difference between eking out a Spin Finish, avoiding knocking yourself out through erratic movement, or absorbing an incoming attack without being knocked out or bursted. This is true for all Beyblades, but with omnipresent combinations like WR 3-60B the importance of balance-tuning becomes more and more evident the higher your climb in the competitive scene. It is not uncommon for top players in official B4 tournaments to have purchased dozens of copies of the parts required to build a combination like this in order to build the best performing version of it. Because the unfortunate reality is that there are individual differences in every copy of every part due to manufacturing variances. This costs a lot of money, which makes fully understanding and achieving the performance ceiling of this combination difficult for the average player.
Players’ Voice

… it cannot be understated that Wizard Rod is the best Beyblade in the game, I would absolutely implore anyone starting out in the game to use this to compensate for lack of experience as this combo can almost guarantee you 1 point provided it is launched correctly.

rayxray, United Kingdom – #1 Selected Best Beyblade X Combo

Best Beyblade X combo #2: Aero Pegasus 7-60 Level

This combo has almost all the ferocity of a traditional Attack type with none of the low endurance drawbacks, making it a dynamic threat to anything opposite to it.

Why is AP 7-60L good?

Best all-rounder. Aero Pegasus 7-60 Level has all the hallmarks of a top tier Attack combo – consistent power at all stages of the game, high endurance, and reliability. These three attributes give it among the best matchup spread in the game, and access to all of the Finishes with shocking regularity.

The Aero Pegasus Blade’s appearance as Cobalt Drake Blade’s replacement as the primary Rare Bey Get Battle prize had the Beyblade community waiting with bated breath – how would it fare? In competition it is a heavy, fairly balanced, and strong Attack Blade with the tried-and-true tri-wing design.

The 7-60 Ratchet is a very intentional Ratchet choice, with the decision to use it being founded on the fact that it improves this Beyblade’s endgame balance and its ability to tumble and roll before it stops spinning for good. This is incredibly important in opposite spin matchups where matches can often come down to which Beyblade held on for a fraction longer.

The Level Bit is an incredible mix between controlled attack power and endurance, and while it lacks the raw speed of Bits like Rush, its competitive speed and unique ability to stand tall towards the end of battle make it a force to be reckoned with at all stages of battle. The Level Bit is the quintessential “balance” Bit of Beyblade X, affording Aero Pegasus Blade a favourable matchup into basically anything.

Different launch techniques result in different performance, and mastering each allows for a level of dynamism only rivalled by the top spot of this list. This combo has almost all the ferocity of a traditional Attack type with none of the low endurance drawbacks, making it a dynamic threat to anything opposite to it.

Strengths
  1. Consistent Smash Attack. The Aero Pegasus Blade is a threat at all stages of the game, with some last-second knock-outs that would make Dran Buster blush.
  2. High endurance. Compared to true all-out Attack types, AP 7-60L is generally a bit more controlled and has much more endurance thanks to its Blade balance and Level Bit’s impressively wide diameter. This means it can outlast combos that pure Attackers couldn’t – opening up new win condition possibilities.
  3. Incredible matchup spread. In competition, knowing your opponent is the first step to success. AP 7-60L has very few if any unfavoured matchups, meaning that if played right, there isn’t an opposing combo you could face that you cannot win against. Because this combo has the means to knock-out opposing combos like the best pure Attack combos as well as some of the best endurance in its class, there isn’t a win condition it cannot achieve against most opponents.
Weaknesses
  1. Cost prohibitive. Before even mentioning the gameplay related woes of this combo it must be noted that at the time of writing, the only way to obtain the Aero Pegasus Blade is by winning a 0.7% gacha roll or shelling out a couple of hundred dollar bills. Normally game pieces in Beyblade are not released in collector-tier rarity only, which is where such a price-point is expected. In this case, as with Cobalt Drake Blade before it, there is no MSRP or widespread distribution. This Blade is an exception to the rule.
  2. Difficult to use. Compared to an Attack type’s gameplan that is quite binary, Over Finish or no Over Finish, AP 7-60L’s gameplan is much more nuanced and matchup dependent. While it may be possible for you to pick this combo up and start winning, the Level Bit is terribly fickle. Launching in the wrong way in a specific matchup can mean you reduce your chance to win considerably without realizing it.
  3. High Risk. Because of Level Bit’s finicky nature, there are times where you may simply execute an Xtreme Dash and go flying into the Over or Xtreme Zone in the middle of battle because your combo was hit in the right way into the rail. Even though this combo has high endurance and some launch techniques to mitigate initial aggression, there are times it feels just as chaotic as a Rush Bit.
Players’ Voice

This is a combo that earns its top spot on my list due to its unmatched versatility and reliability. Aero Pegasus on the Level Bit remains a force to be reckoned with across match types as well as combo types.

Best Beyblade X combo #3: Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush

It combines top tier attack power with enough control and defensive insurance to enable skilled players to put up a fight against any opponent.

Why is PW 1-60LR good?

Best attack combo. Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush is a vicious attacker which takes advantage of its extremely aggressive parts to deliver decisive Burst, Over, and Xtreme Finishes against virtually any opponent.

The Phoenix Wing Blade has, somewhat predictably, has stood the test of time and earned a spot on our list of the top 5 best Beyblade X combos for a second consecutive year. The only Blade to achieve that feat. It’s heavy, aggressive design is still a lot to handle for many opponents in this era. Especially when using the newer, heavier mold.

The 1-60 Ratchet increases aggression while also providing insurance against knockouts. And the Low Rush Bit is arguably the best medium between max aggression and control available in Beyblade Burst.

Among the players surveyed for this list, Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush was the closest one to being a unanimous pick somewhere in each person’s list across not only the Blade, but the Ratchet, and Bit as well. The only differences were in Ratchet and choice of the Low Rush Bit or the similar Rush Bit.

Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush is a force to be reckoned with. It combines top tier attack power with enough control and defensive insurance to enable skilled players to put up a fight against any opponent.

Strengths
  1. Top tier attack power. The Phoenix Wing Blade has one of the most aggressive Blade designs in Beyblade X. In combination particularly with the extremely heavy newer mold of Phoenix Wing–which can exceed 39 grams–and the high speed of the Low Rush, PW 1-60LR can inflict attacks on opponents of overwhelming power. Especially off the Xtreme Line thanks to the excellent dashing ability of Low Rush.
  2. Controllable movement and aggression. The Low Rush Bit is an incredibly powerful medium between the hyper aggressive Low Flat Bit and aggressive, but controllable Rush Bit. Using LR allows this combination to increase its attack power without entirely sacrificing the element of control required to make using it feel less dangerous. And the Phoenix Wing Blade, while it may not possess the highest inherent attack power among Blades (that may fall to the Dran Buster Blade or Shark Edge Blade), what it does possess is less recoil. This naturally produces more consistent and less unpredictable hits that may knock you back rather than your opponent.
  3. Defensive insurance policy. The 1-60 Ratchet’s shape enables it to pop out of the Over Zone or even Xtreme Zone easier than other Ratchets. This creates a sense of safety for users of attack combinations like this one, allowing them to play more aggressively than they might be able to otherwise.
Weaknesses
  1. Not easy to use. As an attack combination, it is not the hardest to use when compared to even more aggressive alternatives. But, there are many reasons why there is still an element of difficulty associated with using this combination. The competitive scene is dominated by strong stamina/defense hybrids, players who are skilled at receiving or dodging attacks, and balance types that have more stamina than PW 1-60LR. So, users need to be skilled in order to understand both when to use this combination and how to use it in order to maximize their success with it.
  2. Self-knock out possibility. Although this combination is, for multiple reasons, at less risk of knocking itself out than many other attack type combinations, it is still possible. One factor which works against it in this area is the Low Rush Bit. Although relatively speaking, Low Rush is fairly controllable, the gear teeth around its tip are longer than the Rush Bit. This is what enables it to perform more aggressive Xtreme Dashes. But it simultaneously increases the chance of self-KOing.
  3. Low stamina. This combination has decent stamina for an attack type, but nowhere near the amount to make it possible for it to win by outspin against most common opponents.
Players’ Voice

This combination combines heavy weight (especially if using the newer, heavier mold), high attack power, and fast Xtreme Dashes to create a vicious attack combination that can knock out or burst anything in the right hands.

Best Beyblade X combo #4: Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate

… Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate is not just a threat to the previously unquestioned rulers of the metagame, right spin Stamina combos, but their kryptonite.

Why is CDG 5-60E good?

Best spin equalizer. Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate is a truly privileged specialist combo. It takes excellent advantage of Cobalt Dragoon’s weight, spin direction, and aggression to turn Elevate Bit into the bane of most right spin Beyblades around. This combo’s win condition is most simply described as staying inside the Battle Zone.

The Cobalt Dragoon Blade brought to Beyblade X the first left-spinning Blade, the first Beyblade to make proper use of the opposite Xtreme Rail zenith and Xtreme Dash from the left side! Its weight and shape are impressive and aggressive, but not unheard of..  Its rare spin direction power, however, meant that Takara-Tomy felt the need to make it imbalanced as a pre-emptive safety measure against long, drawn-out opposite spin stamina combo matches.. And then they released the Elevate Bit 2 months later..

The 5-60 Ratchet is most commonly used in this combo for its relatively heavy weight, as well as the fact that opposite spin contact ensures Ratchet locks aren’t threatened by direct contact, allowing for more in-demand Ratchets to go elsewhere during deck construction.

The Elevate Bit is the true star of the show as it enables the meta-warping insanity that is this combo. This is an incredibly wide Bit that comes to a Flat-like point, with the end result being a fairly chaotic and aggressive pattern with the unrivalled ability to extensively precess or rotate on its side towards the end of battle. In conjunction with the weight and spin direction of Cobalt Dragoon Blade, this makes for a very aggressive and unwieldy combo that, if left in the Battle Zone, will more than likely equalize with its right spin opponent and win by Spin Finish by a hair. Every time.

This late game consistency is a dream come true, and the aforementioned aggression only further solidifies the fact that Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate is not just a threat to the previously unquestioned rulers of the metagame, right spin Stamina combos, but their kryptonite. This Blade and Bit combo changed the Beyblade X competitive landscape overnight. Suddenly the safe and reliable endurance combos had more than just pure Attack types to watch out for.

Strengths
  1. Incredible late game consistency. Because of the fact that it is likely going to spin in the opposite direction to anything else, other than in a mirror, you can rest assured that if it manages to stay inside the Battle Zone, it will achieve a Spin Finish with ease. This kind of confidence is rarely afforded to combos or in high-stakes environments, so knowing that if you survive until the end of battle you are rewarded with a nearly automatic Spin Finish point is valuable and reassuring.
  2. Left spin privilege. Because this combo is interacting with the stadium in the opposite way, it can be a terrible nuisance not just for your opponents to predict, but also for their combos to interact with positively. Often enough, the CDG 5-60E will pre-emptively end or counteract an Attackers Xtreme Dash or destabilize a Stamina type.
  3. Reversal potential. The mixture of aggression and weight on board for this combo should be taken seriously. It can achieve all win conditions on any combo type if your opponent doesn’t play it right, by being able to effectively counter or dodge a barrage of Xtreme Dashes by virtue of being heavy, fast, or just on the opposite side of the stadium. These realities ensure this combo isn’t ever truly out of the game and can, in a flash, reverse bleak outcomes or Finishes.
Weaknesses
  1. A self-knock out and Burst risk. Because of how aggressive the Elevate Bit is early on, a serious concern is that you’ll wind up Xtreme Dashing this combo directly into a pocket, or relying on contact with your opponent to prevent that outcome. Mastery of the Bit and its movement pattern is key to maximize CDG 5-60E’s potential. Because of Elevate Bit’s wide base, contact with the Xtreme Line in a wild or uncoordinated way may result in the Bit coming right off of the combo – immediate Burst Finish. While spin direction prevents a lot of Ratchet Burst Finishes, the Elevate Bit’s resistance and shape keep that condition on the table to some degree.
  2. Collection/balance test hungry. In highly competitive environments combos are put through rigorous construction processes and phases to ensure they have optimal balance and patterning in-game. For CDG 5-60E this is especially important as it can mean eeking out a Spin Finish in a very close match or not. It can mean self-Bursting or not. Each part has to be carefully considered and tested to make sure that when you put this Beyblade into the stadium, if it stays in, it will never lose by outspin. Suboptimal construction leads to lost matches in high-stakes environments for this combo more than most others.
Players’ Voice

Has won most of my matchups and is one of the most consistent blades in my deck. Has not left my arsenal since the release of Elevate. Personal favorite Beyblade. 1/3 of my most successful deck.

How to build Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate

Best Beyblade X combo #5: Silver Wolf 9-60 Under Needle

“Safety” is hard to come by in Beyblade X, but this combination is about as close as you can get.

Why is SW 9-60UN good?

Best stamina and defense hybrid combo. Silver Wolf 9-60 Under Needle combines great endurance with a highly defensive shape, very low height, and respectable weight to shut down attacks and outlast almost all opponents.

To this point, defense in Beyblade X has had a tough time. Most parts advertised for this type haven’t lived up to expectations. SW 9-60UN however changes the narrative to a degree.

The Silver Wolf Blade has the second highest amount of stamina among Blades in this era. Especially with Wizard Rod having been inducted into the Hall of Fame for official B4 tournaments, rendering it unusable for 1on1, Silver Wolf’s value increased exponentially. It is also great defensively due to its cone shape and free-spinning plastic ring on its underside.

The 9-60 Ratchet has been top tier since its initial release, and that hasn’t changed. Its low height and relatively smooth shape are a perfect pair for Silver Wolf, helping to reduce bursting and increase the amount of time it can spin at the end of battles while toppling over.

The Under Needle Bit is the lowest Bit in the game. Lower than even “Low” Bits. This extremely low height paired with its sharp tip enables this combination to behave extremely passively. It boosts protection of the Ratchet and the exposure of the angled, smooth, defensive shape of Silver Wolf to opponent’s attacks.

“Safety” is hard to come by in Beyblade X, but this combination is about as close as you can get.

Strengths
  1. Easy to use. When constructed in such a way that it can spin stably, this combination is fairly strong even without more nuanced launch techniques. If you have a decent shooting power, you can win against a lot of common top tier opponents depending on the quality of your opponent as well as many lower tier ones with relative ease. Thanks to its sharp tip, the Under Needle Bit can behave extremely calmly and passively, making common issues among beginner players such as self-KOing less likely.
  2. Great stamina and defense. All three parts work in tandem to create arguably the best stamina/defense hybrid combination for 1on1 matches during this era.
Weaknesses
  1. Difficulty versus left-spin stamina. The Silver Wolf Blade is known for having worse inherent balance in comparison to its closest contemporary, the Wizard Rod Blade. This has made it more difficult to succeed against left-spin stamina combinations. Specifically, Cobalt Dragoon combinations using the Elevate Bit. The Under Needle Bit also contributes to this; it can excellently maintain its posture while spinning at a high RPM, but being a “Needle” type Bit with a sharp tip, it does tend to lose its balance quicker than Bits with wider tips like Elevate near the end of battle. The 9-60 Ratchet helps to extend its life in this situation, but sometimes it isn’t enough. SW 9-60UN has the potential to win against combinations like this, especially if they are not balance-tuned or if you have a significantly higher shooting power than your opponent. But if all else is equal this combination is at risk most significantly of losing by not only Spin Finish but even by Over or Xtreme Finish due to its tendency to fall to the centre of the stadium. This tendency can often be mitigated against attack types by launching on an angle for the outer perimeter of the stadium or the outer ridge of the inner circle, but against left-spin if there is to be any chance for it to win by Spin Finish against Cobalt Dragoon on Elevate, it is typically best to launch perpendicular to the stadium floor. This creates a catch-22 situation, making it the standout difficult matchup for SW 9-60UN.
  2. High shooting skill and power is required. To get the most out of this combination, users need to understand how to shoot depending on the situation. There are times when direct confrontation in the centre of the stadium is correct. But there are also times when avoidance towards the outer perimeter is correct. And times when attempting to receive hits on the Blade from above is more appropriate than horizontally from the side.
  3. Balance-tuning is important. The same can be said for any combination, especially one which relies on stamina. But to get the most out of this combination it cannot be understated how important balance-tuning is for SW 9-60UN. And it’s not just because it increases its stamina. It is the difference between being able to successfully defend against or receive an attack or being knocked out. It is the difference between the tall teeth of Under Needle (one of its weak points) getting caught in the Xtreme Line when hit, Xtreme Dashing, and then knocking itself out … or Xtreme Dashing and then returning calmly to the centre. And finally, it is the difference between wobbling erratically, increasing the chances of being knocked out or bursted … and spinning stably, suffering minimum damage to your spin velocity from incoming attacks.
Players’ Voice

All three of these parts pair well together to create a combination that offers a sense of safety and security that many other combinations don’t provide.

Blader Kei, Japan – #4 Selected Best Beyblade X Combo

How to build Silver Wolf 9-60 Under Needle

How were the combos picked?

Selection Rules Overview

  1. No repeated Blades
  2. No repeated Bits
  3. Ratchets may be repeated, but variance was encouraged
  4. Combos must be proficient in the Xtreme Stadium
  5. Combos must be proficient under B4 (Beyblade Battle Base) Rules (1on1 and 3on3 Match Types)
  6. Takara-Tomy and Hasbro parts released as of Takara-Tomy’s UX-13/BX-39 release dates are eligible

Each of us was tasked with creating our own “Top 5” selection using Beyblade parts released as part of Takara-Tomy products up to UX-13 Booster Golem Rock 1-60UN and BX-39 Random Booster Shelter Drake Select based on their release schedule. Hasbro products released within this period were also eligible.

The range of eligible parts was limited to UX-13/BX-39 as they were the last two releases in the Unique Line and Basic Line before the introduction of Custom Line Beyblade X tops. Due to this, it seemed like a natural place to draw the line. The time players have had to compete with the parts available up to this point allowed them to give more informed opinions based on a deeper set of experiences.

The list was also made under the assumption that the Takara-Tomy Xtreme Stadium and Beyblade Battle Base (B4) tournament rules are the default environment. For those used to the smaller Hasbro Xtreme Beystadium, other official stadiums, or other unofficial rulesets, what could be considered “best” may differ.

With this as the framework, we found that there was much overlap in specific parts and even specific ratings between each list, as well as some individual deviations.

The above list is a culmination of those picks all rolled into one, in an effort to create the most objective top 5 best Beyblade X combos possible.

Each combo selected by each regional representative had a point value associated with it. The number one combo on each list was awarded five points, through to one point for the fifth place combo. Using these points, each part as well as individual combos were given a “rating”.

The rating in combination with consideration for the positioning of each combo (for example, 3 players listed the Wizard Rod Blade and Ball or Free Ball as part of their number one combo) and the rules outlined below were the largest factors considered when determining what was included on the finalized list above. In the case of close calls one way or another, the decision fell to the editor (Blader Kei).

Below you will find the players interviewed and their unique lists.

Zane (Singapore)

Best Beyblade X combos selection
1. Wizard Rod 9-60 Free Ball

Currently the top blade in the meta, Wizard Rod shines in various setups depending on the combo you pair it with. I’m using it as a stamina-focused build, and it performs well in most matchups except in mirror matches against other Wizard Rod stamina combos. To maximise its performance, make sure to balance tune it and test which ratchet fits your blade best. The Free Ball (FB) Bit is key as it helps reduce stamina loss during clashes. Overall, this combo is solid across the board and particularly effective against the L-spin combos.

2. Cobalt Dragoon 1-60 Elevate

This is my personal favourite in my deck. Cobalt Dragoon with the Elevate Bit excels at spin equalisation, making it reliable in drawn-out stamina battles. The 1-60 ratchet adds controlled movement, increasing the chance of contact with your opponent’s Bey. However, it’s somewhat vulnerable to bursting, so launch placement and power are critical, you’ll need to adjust based on your opponent. When launched correctly, this combo can almost guarantee at least one point.

3. Dran Buster 3-60 Taper

A strong attack combo built to pressure and burst opponents. With a proper launch, it can also force over-finishes/burst-finishes if the opposing Beyblade isn’t well-defended. The 3-60 ratchet provides both balance and movement, while the Taper Bit enhances its momentum and striking power. While it may struggle against certain blades and counter setups, this combo rewards high skill and precise execution.

4. Aero Pegasus 3-60 Level

Originally designed to counter spin-equalisation strategies during the Asia Cup 2024, Aero Pegasus holds its own with a unique triple-blade shape and excellent contact points. It can perform well against stamina and defense combos, usually scoring critical hits when applicable. The 3-60 Ratchet and Level Bit offer a versatile blend of offense and defense, allowing you to adapt its performance based on your launch style. Versatile and reliable, this combo is a great all-rounder.

5. Tyranno Beat 1-60 Point

Though slightly lighter than other top-tier blades, Tyranno Beat still packs a punch. Its signature ‘claw-mark’ design has knocked out high-stamina blades like Wizard Rod especially when its own stamina is low. The 1-60 Ratchet is chosen to enhance stability, while the Point Bit contributes a strong mix of stamina and aggression. A favourite among many bladers, this combo is a wild card that might pull off an insane play.

Best Beyblade X combos selection
1. Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball

Best overall combo. Top tier stamina and surprisingly strong defense if launched well. It has the highest performance ceiling of any combination in this era of Beyblade X. This combo is never a “dead draw”. It is the most common standard by which every competitive Blader judges the performance of their own combos against. And for good reason. In the hands of a skilled player who has both spent the time (and money) to perfectly balance tune their copy of it and learned how to launch effectively against their opponents, there is absolutely nothing it cannot defeat.

2. Aero Pegasus 7-60 Rush

Best attack-focused balance combo. It is one of the perfect examples of a combination that allows players to get out of it what they put into it. The Aero Pegasus Blade is effectively an alternate version of the Phoenix Wing Blade that sacrifices a little bit of attack power for more stamina and balance. The 7-60 Ratchet boosts this quality by improving its posture retention to enable spin finishes and increase defense to avoid being knocked out. The Rush Bit allows it to execute controlled and sustained, yet powerful, Xtreme Dashes with relatively minimal self-KO risk. The result is a reliable, versatile combination which reduces the importance of the matchup and luck and increases the importance of the player constructing and wielding it.

3. Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush

Best attack combo. Phoenix Wing has stood the test of time, making not just an immediate impact upon release, but a sustained one that has lasted far beyond its initial release date. This combination combines heavy weight (especially if using the newer, heavier mold), high attack power, and fast Xtreme Dashes to create a vicious attack combination that can knock out or burst anything in the right hands.

4. Silver Wolf 9-60 Under Needle

Best defense and stamina hybrid combo. All three of these parts pair well together to create a combination that offers a sense of safety and security that many other combinations don’t provide. The sharp tip and low height allow it to spin calmly and take a strong position in the centre when against an appropriate opponent. And in cases where that might not be safe, the cone-shaped Silver Wolf Blade, its free-spinning plastic ring, and the smooth 9-60 Ratchet allow it to be launched in more defensive postures to deflect or effectively receive incoming attacks. Swapping Under Needle for Low Orb is another popular choice, with each offering slightly differing behaviour.

5. Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate

Best stamina-focused balance combo. Being left-spin is the key to what makes this combination so powerful. It does carry burst risk due to the Elevate Bit, but if properly taken care of with good launch positioning and technique, it has the ability to defeat most non-specialized opponents. It can absorb spin and deflect attacks to win by Spin Finish or score knock outs through its aggressive movement and heavy weight. It’s a pain to deal with for players who aren’t prepared for or suspecting it. It is one of the easiest to use for players of all skill levels, but hardest to master combinations in Beyblade X.

1. Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate

Left spinning balance type combos can deliver hard hits and the LAD to spin finish till the end. Has won most of my matchups and is one of the most consistent blades in my deck. Has not left my arsenal since the release of Elevate. Personal favorite Beyblade. 1/3 of my most successful deck.

2. Wizard Rod 1-60 Hexa

Dubbed the NorCal special as this combo has impacted and shaped the meta for the entire northern California region. This Beyblade strides in both stamina and defense sometimes winning the Ball/Free Ball mirror matches. An excellent choice against Cobalt Dragoon Elevate as it goes 50/50. The 1-60 helps balance the bey and escape pocket finishes from attack types. Hexa has great LAD and helps against Cobalt Dragoon match ups along with excellent burst resistance. NorCal tournaments this combo is always present. 2/3 of my main deck.

3.  Aero Pegasus 3-60 Low Rush

Often seen as the pay to win Beyblade. This combo packs a punch paired with the Low Rush Bit. This Bey has very good smash attack in addition to upper attacks to off balance opposing Beys. The weight distribution helps a lot with this bey does also have a chance to outspin Cobalt Dragoon Elevate matchup. Another bit to consider for this combo is Level as it does better in the attack versus attack matchups. 3rd Bey of my main deck.

4. Silver Wolf 9-60 Ball

Got Wizard Rod Hexa/Level in the deck already. Silver Wold 9-60 Ball will also do the job very competitive against Wizard Rod matchups. Top heavy not easy to topple over. Good stamina option and alternate from my deck.

5. Phoenix Wing 7-60 Rush

Name of the game is hit very hard. Phoenix Wing mold 3 has very good weight and is able to deliver the smash attacks needed for those Over and Xtreme Finishes. Does not run out of juice as quickly compared to other hard hitters such as Dran Buster and Impact Drake. 2nd attacker if I’m running a double attack.

Best Beyblade X combos selection
1. Aero Pegasus 7-60 Level

This is a combo that earns its top spot on my list due to its unmatched versatility and reliability. Aero Pegasus on the Level Bit remains a force to be reckoned with across match types as well as combo types. Because of Aero Pegasus’ slight endurance increase over Phoenix Wing Blade and slight over finish consistency over Tyranno Beat Blade, it is the perfect middle ground for the Level Bit.

Because the Level Bit has excellent aggression without compromising late game endurance, it works best on Blades that can compliment this duality. Variants using the Phoenix Wing Blade or the Wizard Rod Blade specialize more deeply in one of these qualities over the other, while the Aero Pegasus Blade blends both aggression and endurance well enough to trump either other option!

When considering unlimited 3on3 or a 1on1 format with Wizard Rod Blade restricted, Aero Pegasus on Level shoots up as the most consistent and safest option across the board as it has very few outright losing matchups – debatably none. The greatest threat to Aero Pegasus on Level is likely Tyranno Beat Blade for its ability to match if not exceed Aero’s endurance and have a chance at an Over Finish, or a very well-built docile Silver Wolf combo that Aero will struggle to knock out or outspin without some luck.

Being able to outspin a suboptimally balance-tuned Cobalt Dragoon Elevate, or potentially draw with a well tuned one is a massive upside to this Blade that cannot be understated. This tends to be a clear weakness for aggressive combos in Beyblade X and Aero Pegasus on Level seems to avoid this even on the 7-60 Ratchet.

2. Phoenix Wing 1-60 Low Rush

My second pick is easily Phoenix Wing Blade on the Low Rush Bit, taking advantage of the 1-60 Ratchet as a potential pocket insurance policy. The reason for this combo in particular is that this is a combo that with the right user also has very few if any losing matchups. Unlike my number one pick, this choice can struggle to win against Cobalt Dragoon Blade on Elevate Bit or Tyranno Beat Blade (if it doesn’t knock them out), but tends to struggle less against defensive powerhouses like the Silver Wolf Blade to make up for it.

In general, Phoenix Wing on Low Rush feels like a combo that when you are performing at your best, you just aren’t going to lose with it. You can’t deny a decisive knock out, Xtreme or Over, in terms of both clean victory and quick point advantage – and this is a combo that excels at creating those opportunities at all points of the game.

3. Tyranno Beat 9-70 Taper

Tyranno Beat on a higher endurance Bit like Taper or Kick is my third pick because it is a serious threat to the above two combos while also being OK-to-decent against everything else. Of the top three, this option is furthest up the endurance spectrum, meaning that it can bully other aggressive Attack-type combos into a Spin Finish if it cannot secure a knock-out, but struggles a bit more with legitimate defensive combos as a result.

If Tyranno Beat Blade is incapable of knocking out things like Wizard Rod Blade, Silver Wolf Blade, or Cobalt Dragoon Blade on Elevate Bit in the first few collisions it is very unlikely to secure an Over Finish at all. By using a high endurance Bit you tend to get slower or less frequent Xtreme Dashes, on top of the fact that the Tyranno Beat Blade is usually a one hit wonder. This is the defining weakness of this combo, and why I place a few other Blades ahead of it despite its nearly unmatched Attack-on-Attack performance and endurance. Tyranno Beat on Taper definitely has a shot against anything else, but feels like a bit more of a gamble into easy-to-use docile combos.

4. Wizard Rod 9-60 Hexa

At the lower end of this list is the fairly reliable and defensive Wizard Rod Blade on Hexa Bit build. Hexa Bit is a high burst resistance Bit that affords Wizard Rod Blade more safety than the average Stamina Bit and has enough endurance late game to take advantage of poorly tuned or unfavourably positioned Cobalt Dragoon combos to also eke out wins in that matchup too.

This style of combo poses a problem for most Attack types that fail to secure an Over or Xtreme Finish very early on too, as the later the battle goes on the harder it is for them to get close to pushing out Wizard Rod on Hexa Bit out. Higher endurance Bits invite later game knock-outs as their defensive potential remains consistently low throughout the battle, whereas Hexa’s resilience to being pushed around easily is high from the get-go and gets higher the lower RPM an Attack Blade has.

This combo would be rated higher on the list if Wizard Rod Blade was not restricted in 1on1 matches in B4 environments or if it could even more reliably combat very well tuned Cobalt Dragoons on Elevate Bit in the same way the Level-based variant can. Unfortunately this is not the case, so it finds itself lower on the list.

5. Cobalt Dragoon 7-60 Elevate

The final combo making up my personal top 5 is the Cobalt Dragoon Blade on the Elevate Bit. The reason for this is very simple: it is a meta defining combo. Prior to its existence, the reliability of Wizard Rod Blade based combos on high endurance Bits like Ball largely outweighed its safety concerns. With Dragoon on Elevate all right spin Stamina combos were put on notice – their time in the sun was over.

Cobalt Dragoon on Elevate Bit can easily handle some of the most consistent and easy-to-use combos in the game without much trouble at all. It also has the left-spin privilege of not being as scared of direct Ratchet contact and potentially even knocking out Attack types due to its usually aggressive and unpredictable nature. This is a double-edged sword, though, as its victory is not guaranteed. Its imbalance makes it a risk into specifically well-tuned Wizard Rod or Silver Wolf Blade combos, and its high-recoil design means Attack types combos have a chance in the late game to prevent Cobalt from securing an easy Spin Finish.

Despite these few clear flaws, this combo has many positives and a great overall matchup spread. Provided all things go to plan, there is very little this combo can’t outspin or potentially counter into an exit. In the right hands, built with extreme precision and care, this feels more like a top 2-3 combo than merely #5.

Best Beyblade X combos selection
1. Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate

Cobalt Dragoon on 5-60 Elevate is one of the strongest combos in Beyblade X. It’s built to out-spin opponents through equalisation, making it a direct counter to stamina types. As the only viable left-spin Blade in the game, Cobalt Dragoon naturally has the edge against the predominantly right-spin meta, giving it a strong advantage through equalisation. The overall weight of the combo also allows it to KO opponents simply through sheer force if required.

The 5-60 Ratchet brings solid weight and balance, helping the combo absorb hits while maintaining stable spin, which is crucial when trying to equalise.

Elevate gives this combo excellent stamina and the best LAD (Life After Death) in the game. Its outer plastic ring allows the combo to keep spinning even after losing upright balance. Once equalisation has done its job, Cobalt Dragoon can finish matches by spinning on Elevate’s ring, often winning by spin finish.

2. Aero Pegasus 3-60 Rush

Aero Pegasus 3-60 Rush is one of the most versatile combos in the game. It strikes a rare balance between weight, stamina, and consistency, making it a reliable, safe choice. It has excellent smash/upper attack potential, with the 3-60 ratchet aligning with the main contact points, and the Rush Bit delivers the speed it needs to secure Over/Burst Finishes. Against Attack types, it can generally out-spin the competition but can struggle against dedicated Stamina/Defence combos in the late game. Regardless, it has solid performance against a wide variety of matchups, which make it an excellent choice to use.

All things considered, the Aero Pegasus Blade can only be acquired through Takara Tomy’s Rare Bey Get Gacha App, where you have a 0.7% chance of winning.. This makes it prohibitively difficult to acquire normally, otherwise you’ll be spending hundreds of dollars. While it is a fantastic Blade, nothing justifies the cost required.

3. Wizard Rod 9-60 Level

Wizard Rod on 9-60 Level is a top-tier anti-meta combo. Its high stamina, excellent burst resistance, and solid LAD make it well-rounded and reliable. It’s best known for being the most consistent answer to Cobalt Dragoon on Elevate, a key matchup in today’s meta. With enough stamina and LAD to win spin battles, and the burst resistance to withstand attacks, this combo has tools for nearly every matchup.

The 9-60 Ratchet improves burst resistance and stamina, reducing risk and improving performance across the board.

The Level Bit gives this combo great stamina, decent LAD, high burst resistance, and enough movement to dodge early aggression.

4. Phoenix Wing 7-60 Low Rush

Phoenix Wing needs no introduction. Since its release back in December 2023, it has quickly solidified itself in the meta. Its heavy weight, three-bladed design with excellent attack potential, ensured that it was a dominant force. And now, Takara Tomy thought it would be a good idea to update the mold to make it even heavier (upper limit sitting at 39.3g), which on paper, is a big buff, but as we know with Beyblade X, weight isn’t always the deciding factor when it comes to a part performing well.

It was discovered (subjectively speaking), that the increased weight did offer more attack power, but it did make it more top heavy, with reduced stamina overall. To combat this, we’ve paired the mold 3 Phoenix Wing Blade with 7-60 and Low Rush. These two parts lower the centre of gravity, which allows the Bey to be more stable and less susceptible to toppling over, while still ensuring it can deliver those powerful hits. It covers a wide range of match-ups and can stand toe to toe with top meta combos.

5. Tyranno Beat 1-60 Point

Tyranno Beat is one of the most consistent and well-rounded attack combos in the game. It performs well against other attack types and has strong KO potential. On 1-60 Point, the combo uses its heavy smash to pressure opponents, either KOing or outspinning them.

The 1-60 Ratchet aligns with Tyranno Beat’s key contact points, its two wide blades, which deliver powerful, critical hits.

The Point Bit works well with the Blade, providing early-game aggression and enough stamina to finish battles when a KO doesn’t land.

Best Beyblade X combos selection
1. Wizard Rod 3-60 Ball

I really didn’t want to put this one here for many reasons. However it cannot be understated that Wizard Rod is the best Beyblade in the game, I would absolutely implore anyone starting out in the game to use this to compensate for lack of experience as this combo can almost guarantee you 1 point provided it is launched correctly. 3-60 is my choice of ratchet as I believe it is better for stability and for tanking hard hits straight on. It goes without saying that the ball bit on Rod is simply that good that Rod had to be banned in 1v1 matches in Japan due to its sheer dominance. This combo in the hands of someone experienced is like going up against a final boss but they have no health bar.

2. Phoenix Wing 1-60 Rush

Powerful attacker, hits incredibly hard, and is one of the safest attack types in the game. Oldie but a goodie, Phoenix Wing stands as one of the best beyblades in the game and with 1-60 rush, it utilises Phoenix Wing’s capacity to smash hard, Ratchet snipe and even outlast the most meta stamina set ups in the game. I highly recommend this to anyone starting out in the game.

3. Cobalt Dragoon 7-60 Level

If Cobalt Dragoon Elevate is the great equaliser then Cobalt Dragoon Level is the great destabiliser, multiple game plans can come from this combo. It retains a portion of spin stealing from the Elevate combo however not to the same degree. When launched correctly it catches right spinning beyblades when near the pockets resulting in either an over or extreme finish. Hard launching this combo can result in over and extreme finishes but be careful because the self-KO risk is high since level is a 16-gear bit.

4. Golem Rock 9-60 Hexa

Probably my favourite combo, it’s a great all rounder Beyblade, that can execute many different game plans depending on how you launch it. If matched up against an attacker, soft tilt and launch hard for deflecting and tanking. If matched up against a stamina type, a more aggressive tilt coupled with a hard launch will increase your chance of winning. This combo has great stamina, even better defence and has the potential to sometimes out-spin Wizard Rod provided it’s launched with enough power.

5. Whale Wave 5-60 Low Rush

Heavy and hard hitting, for what Whale Wave lacks in stamina it more than makes up for it with its critical hit ability. Whale Wave is prone to scraping therefore putting a 5-60 Ratchet ensures it will stay relatively balanced. With low rush it allows for Whale to not only smash attack but to brute force its way into burst finishes. Regardless of launch technique, once this Beyblade makes contact, it’s a sight to behold.
